COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- Public defender Linda Payne has been suspended after letting county commissioners know exactly how she feels.
Officials in Kootenai County, Idaho, said Payne was upset when an expected $10,000 raise for county lawyers turned out to be half that amount. Officials said Payne gave commissioners a greeting card along with a jar of Vaseline and a tube of red lipstick.
Authorities said Payne wrote a crude message in the card and asked for a kiss next time the county wants something from them. Payne was ordered suspended for a week...
