Al-Zarqawi Lieutenant Captured in Iraq

The U.S. military says it has captured a man considered to be a top aide to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Jordanian terrorst behind much of the violence in Iraq. A spokesman for the Multinational Force in Iraq, Brig. Gen. Don Alston, says U.S. forces captured Mohammed Khalaf, the leader of the Mosul branch of Zarqawi's group, al-Qaida in Iraq.According to the military statement, he surrendered to US and Iraqi forces on Tuesday without a fight in "a quiet neighbourhood in Mosul" after they were led to his whereabouts by "multiple intelligence sources."....
