Audioslave Plays in Cuba
HAVANA - The American group Audioslave broke decades long barriers with a thundering concert before thousands of Cuban fans who knocked over barriers to get closer to the first U.S. rock band to play an outdoor concert in Cuba.The band performed in front of thousands at Havana's Anti Imperialist Plaza.The Plaza was purpose built five years ago as a place for mass protest against the US government"It's exciting to play music in a place that American bands haven't been to play," frontman Chris Cornell said, "and it's exciting to be the first American band to come and play some loud rock music and it's all about that. The music is what it's all about, period."
