Man Accused Of Putting Hit On Schiavo's Husband In Court

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- A Buncombe County man accused of putting a bounty on Michael Schiavo and a judge in the case of his brain-damaged wife appeared in federal court in Asheville on Monday.Richard Alan Meywes of Fairview is accused of sending an e-mail putting a $250,000 bounty on Schiavo's head and another $50,000 to eliminate a circuit court judge in Florida.

According to court records, the e-mail read as follows:
"Hey everyone... A bounty with a price tag of $250,000 has been taken out on the head of Michael Schiavo. It is my understanding that whoever eliminates Michael Schiavo from the planet... It is also my understanding that an additional $50,000 has been offered for the elimination of the judge who ruled against Terry..."click on title for the email and more info.
