Tejano queen Selena Quintanilla Perez was on the verge of breaking into American pop. The Texas native had just recorded her first English-language CD and appeared in a movie with Marlon Brando and Johnny Depp. But the 23-year-old's promising career came to an abrupt and tragic end when her fan club president shot and killed her. When I was a limo driver I had the opportunity of driving Abraham Quintanilla,Selenas brother on several occasions.He was always cool and one day shared with me the tough days he lived after Selenas murder.We all lost a star when we lost Selena, and for all her fans out there I let him know we felt his pain in her loss.Recordamos a Selena y la estrella preciosa que se nos fue al infinito.En paz descanse.
