Love Hungry Gators Keep Trappers Busy

Nuisance Calls Increase As Mating Season Begins
MIAMI:An alligator trapper was busy Wednesday, having to stop to snag a second gator while he was on his way to a neighborhood to pick up a 12-footer in a canal near 157 Avenue and Southwest 62 Street.Todd Harwick, who captures gators for Pesky Critters, says that alligator mating season officially began Wednesday.During mating season, alligators often turn up in populated areas while moving between bodies of water hunting for mates...
FYI...This gator and others captured cannot be released in to the wild again under Florida Law but they are not killed. The one captured in this incident will end up in Orlando in captivity. If released they would only end up back at the same location where captured.
