Thousands Walk in World's Major Cities to Fight Hunger, Famine

World Food Program Executive Director Jim Morris led more than 5,000 people through the streets of ancient Rome in one of more than 200 walks worldwide to fight hunger, which kills more than 18,000 children a day.
Organizers estimated that more than 200,000 people took part in ``Walk the World'' marches today with the goal of raising $2.5 million for schoolchildren in poor nations. The Rome-based United Nations agency said hunger-related diseases kill a child younger than 5 years old every five seconds.

That is so sad. So many people throw away so much food here it makes me sick. We should try these walks here.
