Al-Qaida suspect given to U.S., Pakistan says

Musharraf says Libyan was handed over recently
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Pakistan has handed over to the United States senior al-Qaida suspect Abu Farraj al-Libbi, who was wanted for two assassination attempts against President Gen. Pervez Musharraf, officials said Monday.Musharraf’s spokesman, Maj. Gen. Shaukat Sultan, confirmed that the president told a newspaper during a visit to the United Arab Emirates that al-Libbi had been handed over recently, without specifying exactly when or where he was sent.
