Korea-U.S. summit in Washington on June 10

Chance to Dissolve Differences and Dispel Distrust
The Korea-U.S. summit in Washington on June 10 comes at an especially critical juncture for Korea's peace and bilateral alliance. President Roh Moo-hyun will have to fly 30 hours for three hours of working luncheon with his U.S. counterpart. The no-frills, businesslike summit conversely demonstrates the urgency of addressing security issues and closing rifts, if any, in their decades-old friendship.
