Miami Dade Mayor Carlos Alvarez statement regarding Villaronga's death


"Father Villaronga touched the lives of thousands of people in our community, particularly those who participated in his family encounter programs. For more than 50 years, Father Villaronga dedicated his life to serving others. From his humble beginnings in Cuba to his immigration to Miami in 1963, he was a visionary. He was among the first religious leaders in our community to broadcast religious programming.
