Airborne Car Plows Through Home, Lands On Sleeping Man
PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- Police in Pine Bluff said a vehicle sent airborne after running off the road plowed through a house and landed on top of a man sleeping in his bedroom.
Police said 34-year-old Devlon Chandler and his wife were traveling home from a Greenville, Miss., casino Sunday morning when he fell asleep at the wheel. Authorities said the vehicle left the road, traveled through a grassy area, hit a telephone pole, ruptured a gas main and went airborne before going over another road.The vehicle then hit a house, running through the bedroom and knocking out two walls before exiting the home. The car came to rest on top of 42-year-old Ricky May as he was sleeping.May is hospitalized in serious but stable condition. The Chandlers were treated and released.
