Ottawa curtails contact with Iran over Kazemi death
OTTAWA - Ottawa plans to limit more diplomatic ties with Iran to boost pressure for justice in the death of Montreal photojournalist Zahra Kazemi.
Until Tehran bows to Canadian demands for an international investigation, Canadian officials will cut off contact in all but three areas, Foreign Affairs Minister Pierre Pettigrew said on Tuesday. He said they'll restrict dealings with Iranian officials to the Kazemi case, Iran's human rights record and its nuclear non-proliferation performance.
