Fishermen Rescued


The brother of a man killed in the tragedy that inspired the movie "The Perfect Storm" was among three fishermen rescued from a sinking ship off the coast of Massachusetts.The crew members were identified as skipper Richard Shatford, Lewis Mitchell and Brian Clancy, all from Gloucester.An article about the incident can be found Here ...Now For The Inside Scoop...For Those In The Loop...Our buddy Cris...Mackdaddy...his brother Bill is in the Coast Guard and is the one who get lowered on the choppers during rescues.Bill said that the Coast Guard Helicopter he was in(rescued boaters) along with the plane that picked up the mayday signal were part of a training exercise.They were in the area and able to respond within minutes.Although this wasn't part of the training itinerary for these professional heroes, saving lives is part of the great work these folks do everyday.
