Critics Are Willing Iraq To Fail
Sooner or later the opponents of the war will have to admit they were wrong...
Wednesday was the third anniversary of the death in Afghanistan of SAS Sergeant Andrew Russell, the first Australian soldier to be killed in the war against terrorism...This is the sacrifice Australia has had to make in this real war that must be fought...John Howard is doubling Australia's deployment to Iraq, sending another 450 troops to protect Japanese engineers who are building roads, schools, water treatment and health facilities...With some honorable exceptions, opponents of the Iraq invasion have ossified into their positions, taking comfort in bad news...Can't the war critics see, even if mistakes have been made, that Iraq is on track to a brighter future and that is a cause worth supporting?
