Questions Posed By Professor Kerr

First, assuming that you were in favor of the invasion of Iraq at the time of the invasion, do you believe today that the invasion of Iraq was a good idea? Why/why not?Second, what reaction do you have to the not-very-upbeat news coming of Iraq these days, such as the stories I link to above?Third, what specific criteria do you recommend that we should use over the coming months and years to measure whether the Iraq invasion has been a success?
Response... First...I do still stand by the decision to invade Iraq....it is apparent military strategic mistakes were made however nobody said this was an easy process.. it never has been.....nor ever will be.......... I say to you what are we going to do pull out? We Cannot even consider this
Secondly in reference to the "not so upbeat" news coming from Iraq..... There is certainly good news that could be circulated in the media however whether through political bias or the simple fact that "good news" doesnt get the ratings car bombs and beheadings do.....
Finally ... this last question is the million dollar one............. progress in such a volatile situation may be rather difficult to measure especially when we dont hear much about the schools being built and so on............. If the elections are held and some people are able to go out and cast their votes although not all may be able to participate.... this is a step in the right direction and a slap in the face to the those against the coalition..... I will agree this whole thing is a mess but dammit we cant cut and run ........... that would be suicide
